Accounting Manager

The role is hybrid (3-days in office) and REQUIRES the candidate to live in the Washington DC area (out of area applicants will not be reviewed/considered).

Our client, a $500M+ PE-backed company with HQ in DC-area is conducting a search for an Accounting Manager (open due to growth). He/she will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities (monthly close, general ledger, journal entries), financial reporting and analysis and treasury/cash management. They would also love someone who has an eye for automation/process improvements.

Report to the Corporate Controller (fantastic mentor) and currently supervise a staff of one but anticipate building out a group over the next 12-months

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Combination of public accounting (big 4/national firm) & corporate accounting OR 100% corporate (large company experience preferred). Demonstrated accounting experience including thorough working knowledge of US GAAP. CPA/CPA candidate (preferred).

Compensation is commensurate with experience with base salary (up to $140K) and target bonus (10%). Hybrid 3-days in office.
