Role Overview

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in safeguarding company assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and leading an efficient accounting team. You will oversee general ledger maintenance, budgeting, financial analysis, payroll, and tax filings, ensuring all financial processes align with industry standards and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Develop the Accounting Team - Mentor and train staff to enhance performance and accuracy.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis - Prepare balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports
• Month-End Close & Reconciliation - Manage timely and accurate financial closings, budget variances, and account reconciliations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting - Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable - Oversee payments, vendor reconciliations, and progress billings.
• Payroll & Tax Compliance - Ensure timely and accurate payroll process.
• Audit & Compliance - Maintain accurate records, conduct internal audits, and ensure adherence to all financial regulations.
• Insurance & Lease Management - Manage policy documentation and reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement - Continuously refine accounting procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
• Any other duties +/or responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience - 5+ years in accounting or finance (construction industry a plus).
• Skills - Strong financial principles knowledge, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
• Software Proficiency - Experience with Sage 100, Microsoft GP, and Management Reporter is a plus.
• Attention to Detail - Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
