Political Editor 

We are looking for an experienced journalist with an outstanding track record and extensive network of contacts. The candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of political institutions and processes and will be experienced in reporting across all platforms. 

As Political Editor, you will have the capability to report on and analyse complex political issues, as well as originating exclusive stories in the political sphere. Applicants will demonstrate a high degree of personal initiative and will be experienced in contributing to all digital platforms including audio and video. 

The role requires the individual to have the agility to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy. 

This is a leadership role with a strong focus on supporting the team to develop their network within the political system 

As Political Editor, you will have excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to work decisively as is required within this environment. 

The role is based in Leinster House, but it will be necessary to travel within Ireland and overseas when required.
