Cloud Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

• BE/BS degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math background preferred
• 8+ or more years of IT Datacenter Infrastructure experience & 3+ Years in Cloud Infrastructure Design, Implementation, Management & Automation
• Scripting and/or coding skills are must.
• Customer facing skills to represent TCS well within the client environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding cloud architecture, Solutions, best practices, security and risk mitigation
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about services and technical challenges
• Deep hands-on experience leading the design, architecture, development and deployment of Cloud at scale with current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
• Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
• Integration of AWS and/or Azure cloud services with on premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP, VMware, etc.
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
• Good understanding of ITIL framework & Service Management
• Coordinate with Enterprise teams to identify and develop Cloud Management tools and practices and automate cloud operations and compliance tasks.
• Ensure that all cloud solutions adhere to enterprise cloud security and compliance controls
• Assist in documentation of the architecture and solution design of cloud platforms, cloud practices, connectivity

Must Have Skills:

• Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3) and/or Azure Services (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS).
• Strong track record of implementing AWS and/or Azure services in a variety of distributed computing environments
• Exposure to Multitenant Cloud Management platforms
• Strong understanding of high-availability, fault-tolerance for large enterprises with heterogenous & complex environments
• Large scale migration from datacenter to Cloud and or hosting experience on Cloud
• Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
• Configuration management using Cloud Formation, Chef & Puppet.
• Exposure to various migration utilities for database, applications & web workloads from on-premise to cloud
• Very good knowledge on Cloud native solutions from AWS and/or Azure for various platforms
• Hands on experience on Cloud Management tool Scalr & Cloud Infrastructure build tool Terraform
• Sound knowledge on Ansible playbooks & template creations
• Understanding of Image Management for Windows & Linux
• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
• Experience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications.
• Experience in AWS and AZURE IAM policy preparation for cloud Security
• Proficiency in cloud automation using Ansible, AWS CLI, Azure CLI, Cloud formation, Terraform, ARM to enable Infrastructure as a Code
• Understanding of dependencies of Enterprise services & Application integrations for impact assessment
