**IBR models (PSCAD and PSS/E) are critical for renewable energy developers to demonstrate compliance with ERCOT’s grid operation standards. **New PGRR-109 Requirement** Previously, ERCOT allowed you to submit your as-built dynamic model within 30 days of starting commercial operation. But as of May 1, 2024, a new requirement prohibits you from claiming commercial operation without providing the model beforehand. Failure to comply means you cannot begin commercial operations or participate in ERCOT’s energy market. https://lnkd.in/gjUsKJh2 **Why As-Built Models Matter** ERCOT relies on accurate as-built dynamic models to enhance grid planning and operation. The PGRR-109 requirement ensures IBR entities provide accurate models, holding them accountable. **Staying Compliant** Managing as-built dynamic models is complex. It requires cohesive management from project planning through commissioning and testing to ensure compliance with ERCOT standards. **Key Parameter Verification Report (PVR) Information** Even though the ERCOT PVR is still due within 30 days after the COD, it is very important to make sure that the field parameters match the model parameters during the commissioning stage before COD. You can achieve this by making sure the model parameters studied during the QSA model are entered into the PPC/Inverter during the commissioning process. This involves conducting a ride-through performance assessment to attempt to move ride-through to exceed beyond current ride-through performance requirements and aligns with the previous 2023 NERC Alert for IBR performance issues.
