Excited to be back at St. Joan Antida teaching a Personal Finance course this year! Learning about finances in high school lays the foundation for lifelong financial empowerment. By gaining these practical skills in budgeting, saving, and investing, students can take control of their futures and make informed decisions that will benefit them throughout their lives. For young women in particular, financial education is vital. Research shows that women tend to live longer than men, making it even more important for them to plan for long-term financial stability. Yet, studies reveal that women are 80% more likely to face financial insecurity in retirement compared to men. Additionally, about 63% of women say they wish they had been taught more about money and investing at a younger age. By equipping these students with the tools they need now, we can help close these gaps and ensure they are prepared to confidently manage their finances.
