Real Talk…..I’d like to talk about the importance of giving monthly to organizations like Measure. I have done this work for YEARS and we are constantly asking ourselves why our monthly donors have stayed pretty stagnant (under 15) hovering to only a couple handfuls of people each month. If you consider the wild inequality in nonprofit funding… the extra struggle that we as Black women must face to be visible to philanthropy… not to mention the constant systems of oppression that we navigate each day, one would expect the world to see us. Measure as an organization has changed the story of evaluation in Central Texas AND we are fighting keep the pipeline open. We are constantly being asked to provide solutions to foundations AND those same foundations refuse to provide capacity building solutions to us. Welp.
