Leadership is supporting your team and constantly evaluating performance. When a problem is identified, then there are many ways to overcome the new challenge. Courses of action can be required due to a change in materials, equipment, personnel, or external factors. Once the problem is identified and courses of action are identified, then each course is evaluated and they are compared. Feedback from external stakeholders, employees, and internal leadership provides buy-in and insight in developing and analyzing courses of action. Once a decision is made, then consistent follow-up of outcomes and adjustments are necessary. One lesson I learned a long time ago was to not tie myself to a course of action, but desired outcome.

Tools and processes are as good as ( or otherwise) the resources using and implementing them. Changing the toolset and assuming that everything will "fall in place" is just a state of denial. Timely training of resources will be a good start to optimize your tools and techniques.

Have an open discussion with the team to understand what problem/s they are facing while using the tools Or there might be other issues which are leading to current problem. Few basic issues are – 1. Not convinced on WHAT is the use of these tools ( AI: Share the benefits of the tools ) 2. Not knowing HOW to use the tools ( AI: Plan training sessions ) 3. Not willing to take the responsibility, assuming it to be overhead. WHY me ? / “Not my job” ( AI: Define clear process and responsibilities ) In my experience, defining clear process and ownership resolves most of the issues.
