HOPELINK OF SOUTHERN NEVADA was founded in 1991 and serves Henderson and the greater Las Vegas communities. (Southern Nevada). We have offices in Henderson and Midtown Las Vegas with Outreach locations throughout the community located at partner sites. There are thousands of families and seniors in Southern Nevada who are struggling with the bare necessities like food, water, and shelter. Many of them, hardworking people living on a limited income who find themselves on the brink of hunger, tragedy, and homelessness who many times just need a hand to help them up. As HOPELINK OF SOUTHERN NEVADA's employee number thirteen, I've witnessed our incredible growth from a small team to a thriving organization of over 50 dedicated individuals. While our expanded team has necessitated a larger workspace, it's made connecting with everyone more challenging. That's why our monthly all-staff meetings are so special. Moments like distributing donated shoes to our housing team after our August meeting remind me of our team's incredible compassion. Seeing the joy on their faces as they picked out shoes to pass on to our clients is truly heartwarming. Their dedication to helping others is inspiring, and their smiles say it all. We are proud to share that our COO, Kristin Aviles, was recently interviewed by?#KSNV?Arc Las Vegas this past Friday. The discussion highlighted the?#struggles?faced by the most vulnerable members of our community during the summer heat, our seniors. Seniors living on a?#fixedincome?struggle to keep up with rising utility bills and rent. To?#support?our seniors during these challenging times, Hopelink has a program called Hope4Seniors.
