What is more concerning is the drop in the number of institutions. While the economy and population expands the the number of institutions declines along with diversity and choice.

Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank, Societe Generale, and Rabobank are entering the private credit space, seeking a slice of the growing $1.5 trillion industry. With private credit dominating LBO financings, banks aim to stay relevant by offering flexibility and pursuing higher returns in direct lending. However, challenges such as building investor trust, regulatory considerations, and competition with established players are a constant consideration. Some banks opt for joint ventures to enhance credibility, leveraging their market knowledge and relationships to position themselves as one-stop shops for diverse financial solutions. Breaking: In another disappointing move, Citi JPMorgan Chase & Co. Bank of America Wells Fargo have all quietly quit the Equator Principles. "It? is a very troubling move by some of the fossil fuel financing biggest banks in the world to abandon a bare minimum set of standards which banks themselves have set. It is both ethically shocking and financially risky. It begs the question: It is becoming increasingly apparent do these banks do notbanks not care about anything other than the bottom line."
