QA Mentor, QA Advisor, Fullstack-QA | I will help you to bring your software to the next quality level. Don't lose customers anymore due to too many bugs or slow software development! Let's get your QA in shape!

?? Everyone can test, but everyone tests differently... The result is always different. A problem? ?? I've often sat down with colleagues from development and discussed software testing. They would say to me: "We test our code ourselves, why do we still need QA?" – A classic line many developers have probably thought at some point. But here's the catch. ???? Developers are brilliant at solving problems and writing software – that's undeniable. But when it comes to testing, there's a crucial difference: developers test to prove that the code works. QA, on the other hand, tests to find out where the code doesn't work. ?? Imagine you're building a huge tower out of building blocks. As a developer, you're proud to check if the top layer is perfectly placed. But the QA? They shake the foundation, check if the middle layers are stable, and test how the tower reacts if it's tilted. ?? Developers often have a close bond with their code. They know how it's supposed to work and test accordingly. QA, on the other hand, approaches it with a completely different mentality – they think of scenarios that a developer might not even have in mind. ?? That's why it's so important to keep the two roles separate. In the end, QA ensures that the software is robust and ready for the real-world challenges out there – and not just functional on paper, but still as a Team! So, the next time you hear, "I can test this myself," remember the tower of building blocks. Sometimes, you need someone to shake it. ?? ? Does your team or company see it the same way? Have you had similar experiences? Let me know in the comments. And if you want to make sure it's not just the developers testing, reach out to me, and we’ll find a solution together. Or just send us a mail Fullstack-QA Ps: Yes, we do love cats and robots ?? ?? PPs: Whats your favorite reading language, english or german? Let us know! #testing #freelancer #quality #fullstackqa

Can QA Be Considered a Superhero? ?? (Told with a hint of irony) Let's be honest. Superheroes fly through the sky, rescue people from burning buildings, defeat villains with superhuman strength... and then there’s QA. ?? QA, this so-called "superhero," is comfortably seated in their office chair, armed with the deadliest weapon of all: a Red Bull and an eye for mistakes nobody wants to see. Instead of saving the universe, they save... our code. ??? While Batman relies on his gadgets and Superman on his laser vision, QA relies on... Jira tickets and endless test scenarios. ????? Because what would a hero be without their exhaustive checklists and tests to make sure a button is, indeed, clickable? And then, when everyone else is sleeping or gearing up for the big launch event, our "superhero" is on the scene to defeat the biggest villain of all: the bug in line 456! ???♂??? Sure, you could argue that QA is as heroic as the Avengers. After all, it takes enormous patience to scrutinize every tiny detail, question every "what if?", and ask every question twice just to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. ??? Maybe they don’t save the world... but they do save our products from the ultimate apocalypse: unhappy customers and bad reviews. ??? So yes, let's call them superheroes – but the kind that save us from invisible threats. ????♂? Follow me for more superhero QA content! And thank you for interacting with us ;) Without you, growth in this area wouldn't be possible! ?? So, much QA love goes out to you! ? To some, this may sound like a small number, but for us, it’s incredible! ?? We started about 5 months ago and have been able to gain so much experience, build connections, and gather followers... if someone had told us we would have 250 followers in 5 months, we would have just laughed. ? ?? This gives us courage for the next steps... we are a company, so let's take some action! ?? We are currently working on establishing ourselves as an agency. We want to connect with test specialists to bring and help them into new projects or work with them together on bigger projects as a team! ? ? Are there any agencies out there willing to share a bit of their experience with us? Write us :) ? Are there any test specialists who are interested in something new? Write us :) ? ?? Dear network, dear freelancer colleagues, ?? "Time is money," said Konfuzius, I think... or was it someone else? ? New week, new questions ?? ?? I have a penchant for evaluations, graphs, percentages, and overviews... Therefore, I could spend my life just making statistics, e.g.: How often was I at the beach? What was the average amount of Aperol in the first and second week? And so on... Analyst stuff ?? How exactly do you track your hours? What do you track? Which tools do you use for that? Here’s an excerpt of my tracking: ( only in german ?? ) ?? Noticeably a lot of vacation... this statistic really pleases me!

Dear Network; First of all: Greetings from Italy ???? ( Freelancer-Life-Deluxe ) ?? Back to the business; Of course, we must also address last week's topic as a QA-Company and QA-Evangelist: ?? Global IT outage due to faulty software! ?? The company has been identified, and bashing is already in full swing. ?? First of all: Nobody is perfect. Not even QA. My credo: learn from mistakes. If there is a live bug, it must be analyzed and included in the test strategy to prevent it to happen in the next release again. Because my credo is also: never make the same mistake twice. ? How is the company doing now (which I won't name here ??)? Loss of image, Stocks in the cellar, Economic total loss. Could they have known and tested it beforehand? No one will ever know. They have definitely published a press release in which they describe how they plan to test better in the future to avoid this error. One point: DEV local testing. However, for me, this is a MUST-HAVE. Always has been. Otherwise, we end up in the area of division between DEV and QA. ?? The DEV literally throws his finished code over the fence to QA. That's not how good QA works. ?? ?? Good QA works together: knowledge sharing, four-eye testing, testing as a team, and taking responsibility as a team in the topic of QA. BTW: Fullstack-QA offer QA consulting, don’t release the next global or half global issue, don’t be the next company which is in the press cause of missing tests... just talk to me before you will release ;) How do you see the whole thing? Did the error affect you? Leave me something to read in the comments. And never forget: Never skip QA! #testing #qa #fullstackqa #nobodyisperfect #neverskipqa

Dear Follower, Dear Network, ?? I want to build a pool of potential working partners for my business/company. I am looking for QA experts in Germany, mostly freelancers for now. Later, I might also need some security experts. ?? Let's start with a request here on LinkedIn: I am looking for freelancers with a focus on testing areas: such as -manual testing ?? -test engineering ???? ???? or -QA management ???? ???? Experience levels can range from beginner to 20+ years. Or even working students. If you would like to be part of the pool, let's talk in a private message or send me an email for further discussion. Or if you maybe now potential freelancers, feel free to share the post! ? Even if you don’t have capacity right now, let’s connect and build a strong network to support each other with main projects or side projects. ?? ?? Dear followers, networkers, friends, and freelancer buddies, ?? Recently, it's been a bit quieter on my account.... No, it's not due to illness or anything similar – I've simply been working hard, which has left me with less time for social media at the moment. ?? ? The next step as a freelancer has now happened. After an exciting six weeks of searching, attending conferences, blogging, and networking, we've landed our first project. ? How did it happen? A series of coincidences, as often occurs in life! Anyway, I'm very excited that we're now moving into the next phase of freelancing. I already have many more projects and steps planned in my mind. The project and the team are fantastic, and it's been a lot of fun applying my QA expertise there. I hope for a long and successful collaboration and look forward to more exciting projects and meeting new people. ??♂? Unfortunately, I can't split myself... So, to all freelance colleagues and entrepreneurs out there, here's a question for each post: How do you handle it when your workload is at its limit but you also want to continue growing and expanding? Let me know in the comments or let's discuss it. I'm eager to hear your stories. To everyone who has been concerned: It keeps moving forward ;) And now with fewer worries for the Fullstack QAs. ? Greetings from the ?busy-QAler” ? Never forget: Never skip QA! #fullstackqa #qa #qualityassurance #nextsteps #testing

"Should Developers Test Their Own Code?" No! Yes! Wait..I dont know?!? Dear Network ?? , I often encounter the topic of whether developers should take over QA/quality assurance or the tests of the team by there own. ??♂? I explore this topic in my new blog: Should Developers Test Their Own Code? ? Link to the blog --> https://lnkd.in/e_5wr3hS ?? I aim to present the pros and cons and share my experiences. What are your thoughts on this topic? Is it sensible? Complete nonsense? I would love to hear your opinions and, of course, get feedback on the blog. There's also another blog post already available: Do I Really Need QA? Link to the blog --> https://lnkd.in/een5aV3h Check it out if you haven't read it yet! ?
