Voss's Colin Downes recently presented Voss with a US Flag that was flown in a military mission over Iraq. This Flag was flown onboard a KC-135 Stratotanker while refueling F16 fighters in support of Operation Inherent resolve. This mission took place during Colin's most recent deployment with the US Air Force. This Certificate and flag was presented to Voss by the Air Force in appreciation for supporting our veterans. Thank you, Colin, for your service!

Voss Manufacturing’s?Dan Yousett?was recently recognized by the Niagara Falls?School board with their “Golden Apple”?award.?The award is given by the school board for people in the community who make a difference by enhancing employment opportunities for Niagara Falls students. Voss is a manufacturing partner with NFHS?P-Tech?(Pathways in Technology Early College High School) program and Dan sits on their advisory committee. “Dan is relentless in his dedication to making more people aware of the?growing skills gap and the good paying job opportunities available to students without the need for a 4-year college degree”?stated Mark Laurrie, NFHS Superintendent. Valerie Rotella-Zafuto,?P-Tech administrator?stated:?“Dan attends all of our Advisory committee meetings and has?done many?presentations to our students showing them what career opportunities?are out there.”

Voss recently acquired a new 240 Ton Amada Press Brake funded in part by the Niagara County Production Program.? Rebecca Wydysh, Chairwoman of the Niagara County Legislature and Michael Casale, Commissioner of Niagara County department of Economic Development visited Voss to see the fruits of the program firsthand.? " This is a great example of why we set this program up - to incentivize local businesses to invest in state of the art technology that make their businesses more efficient and competitive and will allow them to better serve the coming Technology Hub that is destined for our Region” stated Chairwoman Wydysh. “ Its great to see that Voss Manufacturing is taking advantage of every opportunity to grow our workforce and create high paying jobs”.

Donald Gutillo, Steve Csendom and Dan Yousett were on hand to help celebrate the grand opening of the Gene Haas Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Lab at Orleans/Niagara BOCES in Medina this week. We would like to congratulate Bill Rakonczay on receiving the "Educator of the year" award from the Gene Haas foundation and the grant to rehabilitate the lab. Bill has turned out many, many great machinists over the years. Tyler Finch graduates this year from Bill's program, and we are proud to say that Tyler starts monday morning as a full time employee of Voss MFG! Thanks for your support Bill and congratulations Tyler!
