Call for proposals! Tim Vos and I are co-editors of a forthcoming special issue of American Journalism focused on research that examines trends in media over time. This includes research related to all forms of media production. We are especially interested in work that theorizes its subject and offers explanations of change over time. I see this as a great opportunity for anyone considering a book project and seeking an intermediate step in that direction. Five- to ten-page proposals are due December 20, 2024. Full papers for accepted proposals will be due December 1, 2025, for an issue of American Journalism to be published in Fall 2026.
