With an impressive 47-year tenure at DBS, Jim led well over 50 projects with passion and dedication. Notably, Jim excelled (in his prime) by operating a backhoe digging record numbers of footers in a single day among all DBS operators. Formed in 1970, by Victor D. Irelan, Dublin Building Systems is a medium-sized building contractor operating in the central Ohio area. We specialize in design-build commercial and industrial construction, with our own staff of engineers, designers, and project managers experienced in the intricacies of design-build construction. In addition to our office staff of design and construction management professionals, we maintain a merit shop organization of field crews for on-site supervision and fieldwork including foundation, concrete, structural steel erection, carpentry, and other specialized labor. We are active in the local construction and business community and have established long-standing relationships with key subcontractors and architectural and engineering consultants who are also experienced in design-build.

Dublin Building Systems marked a milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Faithful Friends & Cat Specialty Center in Dublin, Ohio. This cutting-edge veterinary hospital, spanning over 7,000 SF, will be located at the intersection of Perimeter Drive and Liggett Road. Construction is set to begin in early August, with a planned grand opening in Spring 2025. Grateful to Dr. Henricks and Dr. Saffire for entrusting our team with the design and construction of their new hospital. The building was designed by ArchAll Architects and The Kleingers Group was the civil engineer. 80 years ago, my Grandfather alongside many other selfless, brave Americans and allies, forged the front lines on Omaha Beach. Watching the 80th Aniversay on TV, with 97+ year olds saluting our flag makes me very proud of my grandfather and of our democracy.
