How To Build Relationships on LinkedIn I received 9 copy and pasted LinkedIn invites today. ? 4 of them help coaches earn 6 or 7 figures a year. Ignored. ? 2 of them wanted to explore synergies and find out what I do. Ignored. ? 1 of them can help me generate more leads. They had terrible LinkedIn profiles so were ignored. ? 1 of them wanted me to hire them and said nothing new or interesting. Ignored. ? I accepted the 9th invite because she is Irish and so am I. It's important to send a message back to people who connect. Not to sell your product or service, but to start trying to build a bit of a relationship. Or a bit of trust. To get your brand better known. Whatever you prefer to call it. I tried writing it with LinkedIn AI and then LinkedIn Premium and this was the result: "I trust you're well," a phrase used by terrible salespeople and charity workers worldwide. "It's fascinating you know xxx" Most people don't know their connections or spend time talking to them. Avoid using this phrase. "If you have insights or advice to share, I would appreciate it." This is a mixture of begging and asking for a favour upfront. Wrong on every level. If you want to do better on LinkedIn, don't do any of this. 1. Be a human being 2. Give value first. 3. Join Corina Goetz and myself on 3rd January for our LinkedIn masterclass and get the basics right. https://lnkd.in/er-WGrzn
So many AI generated comments, connection requests and posts on LinkedIn these days - they all blend into each other. You're right, being human stands out. Good luck with the masterclass Niraj Kapur
Sometimes people forget that, above all else, they and the person in front of them are both human beings. Connect with them genuinely.

Spot on advice. The quickest way to ruin a connection is a copy-paste pitch. Being human, giving value first, and actually taking the time to build trust will always win. Love the practical tips here!

2 个月"I trust this finds you well" is the opener for a pitch slap. "Hello dear..." is a scam artist "Any jobs for an X?" Is not compelling either What to do ??
