On the 3rd day of SXSW Sydney, inspirational leaders shared with me... ?? "Lonely at the Top – Women in #ExecutiveLeadership" There were so many great anecdotes and wisdom from this beautifully diverse and inspirational group of women - what a powerhouse session this was! I'll share here the advice they’d give their younger selves: ??♀? Charmaine Hunzwi A FIN MICDA – Be the CEO of your own life, hire & fire the people in your life ?? Marina Go – Value yourself earlier, and fight hard for your value ? Shirley Chowdhary – Back yourself, believe in yourself, don’t let others tell you you can’t? ??♀? Ursula Dyer Lepporoli - stress less, and build systems for success "Confessions of the CEO on #GenAI" was another enlightening session 6?? Asanga Lokusooriya led the panel through 6 ‘hard truths’ to outcompete in the age of GenAI ?? Louise Stigwood advised that if your #data isn’t ready for GenAI, then your organization isn’t ready for it either - start with your #datastrategy first; also make sure you have the right #culture and allow your employees to experiment, otherwise you’ll accumulate #techdebt ? Armand Ruiz warned that no company is big enough or established enough to be able to afford to not go crazy now with AI ?? To our friends in the #bluecarbon, #marine #biodiversity #restoration, and the #aquaculture space, I’d like to highlight the brilliant solution developed by Dr. Dr Ana Novak and Eva Chiu at Blue Carbon. Their oPod upwelling technology has realized what many in the space have been trying for decades to accomplish, but with little success. And what I particularly love about their solution is that they have managed to prove it at scale, in the ecosystem where their solution could generate the most benefits, all while raising only a modest amount of capital to bring it all together! The oPod’s ability to pull massive amounts of cold, nutrient and oxygen rich, saline water from the deep and bring it to the surface using only renewable energy makes it a brilliant solution for aquaculture operations struggling with warmer, nutrient and oxygen poor surface waters.
