We developed a new 3D imaging technique for the multi-hit imaging of Ions using two-conventional CMOS camera, a delay generator, and a simple LED device to suppress the camera jitter to give a time resolution better than 2 ns. This new method does not need a specialized timing device and can detect multiple ions within a single laser shot, up to 10 counts per laser shot. This technique offers a powerful alternative approach for performing covariance imaging at low-cost with a better timing resolution for ion detection. Have a good read!!! #wsuchem

A research group from Sichuan University developed a deep-learning-assisted method that enhances the accuracy and efficiency of 3D imaging for dynamic scenes. Traditional methods struggle to balance precision with speed, but the optimized pipeline achieves real-time imaging with an RMS error of less than 0.031 mm, a resolution of 1280x800, and speeds exceeding 100 fps.
