What are you most proud of so far this working year? As we reach the second half of 2023, I’m taking a moment as a brand new founder to give myself a mid-year review. I dropped the ball, tried to give up, got spewed on right before going on stage, left things to the last minute, took it all too personally, wondered why, wondered how, wondered if… probably the necessary fumbles and stumbles that offered up the lessons I needed. While I was doing all that, I also launched a business, a podcast, did a dash of public speaking and submitted the final assignment of my grad cert. I’m keen to celebrate the chaos a little more, knowing that neat often doesn’t get me where I want to be. If you’re going through the mid-year review process and the opinions of others are leaving you feeling a tad deflated, I hope you’ll take heart that while often helpful, reviews can also be waaay off the mark. Like Sheila’s take on Back To The Future, which she scored 40/100. #withallduerespectsheila What would you share in your #MidYearReview? 1 年Post-covid business scenario made me realise the importance of caring for those in my charge … to lead more by heart & less by brain. This has been work-in-progress with me since 2021 … and I am glad that I continue to work on these principles even in 2023. Simplistically, I am trying to operate as a human who works with other humans … we all have flaws, we all have bad days, we all make mistakes … and we all have it in us to understand each other, work together, and create something amazing.
