Any hopes of ‘new year, new me’ have gone out the window. No meal prepping, instead you accidentally devour a whole bar of Cadbury for your breakfast whilst on the road. Calcium ?? don’t you dare fall into a KFC. You’ve not yet managed to see every customer this year so you’re pondering for a few minutes as to whether you need to say ‘Happy New Year’. Someone tell us the etiquette as I just can’t bear it. Sod it, ask them how their Christmas was, that’ll do. You tell all your customers how well you’ve done at Dry Jan, but omit to mention the fact you’ve had a Sauvignon on Friday as the most exciting event of the calendar year has already taken place. The Traitors finale. Don’t you worry honies; it was a Dry Wine. I’m not a rule breaker. You tell yourself that come tomorrow, February, you’re gonna have actual flames coming off your phone as you’re gonna be the best sales manager there ever was. Your back might hurt prematurely from being behind the wheel all over again, but, no pain no gain in this line of work ;)

When sufficient information... Is given during a transaction with customers. Your customer can make an intelligent buying decision. "Yes I want to add the homemade guacamole. I love clantro and squeezed orange sounds great!" Without sufficient information, the customer must make a decision. Purely based on emotions or impulse buying. Or lack there of... Which may not align with their preferences or needs. "I'll have a regular coffee, please." Could have been 'I've never tried a maple latte before! Let's do it!" Customers sold with good information become additional salespeople for your products or services. You will see them more often. And their friends! The teams need to be sales trained consistently. I see it everyday! And reminded WIIFM! I am looking at you Puesto team! Your guacs w Parmigiano-Reggiano and the one with mango are TDF. What does a case of water have to do with sales? ? How many times have you heard, or said… "The customer will buy if we can match XYZ competitor's price?" Many salespeople suggest the only thing customers care about is price. ? ?? If companies can differentiate water and sell it a premium... I would argue that it isn't just about price. Is it? How about a personal example? ?????????? ? While at the checkout counter, my wife realized she forget to get a case of water and asked me to run and grab one. When I got back, I was told I got the wrong brand... And argued that it was the lowest price and she couldn't tell the difference. "Take it back," she said. "I can tell the difference." ?? Game on!!! I took it back. Got the case she wanted... And 8 other individual bottles. I bet her she wouldn't be able to get half of them right in a blind taste test. I even added tap water to give her a chance of getting at least one right. I tabulated the results. Victory was with in sight.?????? I was right, my wife didn't get half of them right... SHE WENT 9 for 9. ? We paid the premium for water. ?? Even when you buy water, it isn't always about price.? ?? But, salespeople often find themselves making it about price... Just proof that things happen on other people's time and when they need something. Our job, as above average sales people, is to find a way to stay in front of them every so often. Could be a text with something that made you think of them. It could be a birthday. It could be "I'll see you Expo"... WHATEVER it is we must stay in front of people. There are 2 sayings for people we don't see: 1. Absence makes the heart grow fonder or 2. (The one that 99% applies to sales) Out of sight, Out of mind! Our #1 goal every day: Be the most visible and interactive brand in pizza. We do this by staying in front of people. All people. Customers AND prospects. Let's Go! Big Day!
