It’s certainly an interesting time for federal hiring. With so much uncertainty, applicants are left wondering whether positions will remain open or if they’ll go through the entire hiring process only to face a freeze or be included in the next round of cuts. It’ll be telling to see how these factors impact the applicant pool—whether external candidates avoid federal positions altogether or if we see a shift in who applies.
