As Storm éowyn approaches with the potential to pose a serious danger to life, it is crucial for everyone to take proactive measures to ensure safety. At Wintech, we’re committed to supporting safe and secure environments for all. Here are some key recommendations to help storm-proof your buildings: 1?. Secure Loose Items: Check balconies and outdoor areas for loose items such as furniture, planters, or decorations. Secure or remove anything that could become a hazard in high winds. 2?. Check Windows and Doors: Ensure all windows and doors are properly closed and locked to prevent damage and keep out strong winds or rain. 3?. Inspect Vulnerable Areas: If possible, inspect any weak or exposed areas of your property to address potential risks before the storm hits. The Met Office amber weather warning for wind is in place for Northern Ireland, the north of Wales, the north of England and south of Scotland from 6am on Friday until 9pm. All parts of the UK have been issued with separate yellow weather warnings for wind on Friday as well. By taking these small but important steps, you can help protect your assets and buildings during this severe weather event. Stay prepared, stay safe.

Storm Eowyn has battered the UK with strong winds and heavy rain, and if your building has been exposed to the worst of it, your roof could have taken a hit. Storm damage isn’t always obvious at first glance, but catching issues early can prevent costly repairs down the line. Some key signs to look out for include… Leaks or water stains inside your building, which could mean the roof membrane has been compromised. Loose or missing panels, particularly on metal or flat roofing systems. Strong winds can dislodge sections of the roof, leaving it vulnerable. Blocked or overflowing gutters, as debris buildup can prevent proper drainage and lead to water pooling. Sagging or weakened roof areas, which could indicate structural damage from heavy rain or wind pressure. Debris or fallen objects on your roof, which may have caused punctures or hidden damage. If you notice any of these warning signs, it’s best to act fast. At Pro Clad Roofing, we provide emergency roof inspections and repairs for commercial and industrial buildings across Scotland. Our experienced team will assess any damage and carry out necessary repairs to ensure your property is protected against further issues. Don’t wait until a small problem becomes a major one—get in touch today on 0141 810 1000 to schedule an inspection and keep your business safe. #StormEowyn #StormDamage #EmergencyRepairs #CommercialRoofing #ProCladRoofing #ScotlandWeather #BuildingMaintenance

Are you ready for this weekend’s Deep Freeze? ?? Property Managers and Building Owners, winter’s chill is here, and we want to help you safeguard your property. Here are 5 crucial steps you (or your tenants) can take to prevent costly damage: 1?? Let your faucets drip – A slow drip keeps water moving through pipes, preventing them from freezing. 2?? Open cabinet doors – This allows heat and air to reach pipes under sinks, especially in colder areas. 3?? Set the thermostat above 65° – Even if the space is empty, maintaining heat is essential for preventing frozen pipes. 4?? Disconnect hoses & turn off outdoor waterlines – Protect your exterior plumbing from the freeze. 5?? Clear gutters and drains – Ensure they are free of debris to avoid flooding when the thaw begins. By taking these 5 simple steps, you can minimize the risk of frozen pipes, flooding, and expensive repairs. ?? Need emergency help? If disaster strikes, ASR’s Emergency Services team is ready to respond 24/7. Call us anytime at 303-325-7315 – we’re here to help, no matter the hour!?

Hello, everyone! ??? We wanted to touch base and provide some updates about the severe weather that’s been affecting our friends in Queensland and Victoria recently. In Queensland, we are witnessing some extreme weather conditions, with torrential rains leading to significant flooding and road closures. Reports indicate that areas between Cairns and Mackay have already received over 1000mm of rain in just a week, and there's more to come! Local authorities are on high alert, and we have seen multiple rescues as they prepare for potential flooding that could reach upwards of second-storey floors in some areas. In Townsville, evacuation preparations are underway, with dedicated evacuation centres open for those affected. A big shoutout to the brave first responders and volunteers who are tirelessly working to ensure everyone's safety during this challenging time. Meanwhile, down in Victoria, a heatwave is on the horizon with temperatures expected to soar into the high 30s and low 40s. The CFA is urging those in high-risk bushfire areas to finalize their fire survival plans and be prepared. Let’s all keep our friends and family in these regions in our thoughts during this intense weather. ??? If you are in the area, please stay safe and follow the guidance from local authorities. How are you managing through this weather? Share your tips or stories with us in the comments below! Stay safe! #QueenslandWeather #VictoriaHeatwave #StaySafeAustralia #FloodSafety #WeatherUpdate
