WPO World Packaging Organisation celebrates the Earth Day! ? On April 22 we celebrate the Earth Day and invite all to reflect on how the packaging community can make a difference. ? WPO World Packaging Organisation understands that packaging design is an area with positive impact and the ‘Global Packaging Design for Recycling Guide’, developed in partnership with Circular Analytics, FH Campus Wien | University of Applied Sciences, and ECR Community, represents an important basis for holistic sustainability assessment. ? Why this Guide is important? ? ? Ensures the highest possible recycling rates. ? Promotes resource conservation. ? Extends product service life. ? Encourages material-identical recycling (closed-loop). ? Prioritizes renewable materials. ? To apply recyclable packaging design effectively it is crucial to understand regional recycling processes. That’s where country-specific waste stream mapping guides come into play! ? Whether you are a designer, manufacturer, or consumer, embrace circular packaging solutions that are convenient and sustainable. ?
