On 21st June, I was invited by Consulting & Analytics Club, IIT Guwahati to give a webinar in their Summer Analytics Program. There were 75+ attendees and I guided them on the topic: How to Crack Data Analytics Interviews. Participation: Research on Social media and self/body acceptance for an international publication I am a researcher at the Center for Development Management and Communication (CDMC) at MICA, Ahmedabad and a doctoral FPM candidate at the Institute. Along with my co-authors Dr. Manisha Pathak-Shelat and Dr. Ruchi Tewari, I am undertaking research on the relevance of social media platforms like Instagram in aspects of self/body acceptance. Self/body acceptance is practiced variously over social media, through body size and shape, skin (acne, vitiligo), hair (e.g. baldness), disability, gender and sexuality, aging etc. It importantly creates avenues to amplify alternate voices beyond the mainstream. The research examines in particular evaluation and performance of your self/body acceptance through social media. We are especially speaking to people who actively post in and around this topic on social media, including especially as content creators.
