TRAINING, TEACHING AND COACHING: MY PERSONAL SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Training, teaching, and coaching have been fundamental skills I have cultivated since my secondary school years, continuing through my undergraduate and postgraduate education. My journey began when I gathered pupils from various primary schools and prepared them for the Common Entrance Examination into secondary school, using the "UGO.C.UGO" a widely used in Nigeria. Over the course of this initiative, I successfully taught more than 200 students, with over 90 percent of them achieving excellent results in their exams. This experience ignited my passion for education, leading me to further engage with secondary school students in preparation for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and other related exams through various platforms. As I progressed to university to study chemistry, my dedication to teaching remained unwavering. I actively participated in tutorial sessions organized personally and those organized by religious fellowships, student associations, and departments and faculties , where I was able to contribute to the academic success of many in my little selfless way. During my time at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), where I completed my Master's degree, I continued this pattern of academic mentorship and contribution. My passion for teaching and academic development remained a central part of my life, even as I advanced in my studies and career. In my professional career as a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practitioner, my role has further expanded my experience in training and coaching. The position demands continuous collaboration and engagement with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor employees to top management, ensuring effective communication through training sessions and coaching on critical health and safety topics. I have successfully trained over 600 employees across different organizations and industries, and have been actively involved in numerous health, safety, and environmental outreach programs. Looking ahead, I am committed to expanding my impact and reach through increased partnerships and empowerment initiatives. To support this, I recently completed the IOSH "Train the Trainer" course, a testament to my commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement. This achievement marks an important step in my mission to continuously improve and expand my ability to make a difference in the lives of individuals and organizations through training, coaching, and education. A very big thankful to all individual and organizations who has been the center of my support. @IOSH @Hybrid Group @SMARTFLOW TECHNOLOGIES LTD
Yes, you have certainly developed these skills since your secondary school years. I remember how we introduced new topics to the class even before they were covered in the curriculum, particularly in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. We began teaching one another intensively during those times. I hope you recall those moments with Ajadi Nurudeen (MSC, PMP?), Ajadi Rasheed, Falore Temitope, Temitope Boriwaye, Funmilayo Ligali, Oshin Fadekemi, Elegbede Ibrahim, Julius, Suvian, Muyees, yourself, and myself, among others. You have truly demonstrated great patience, wisdom, and excellent communication skills. I wish you continued success and growth in your career.
Congratulations ??
