Designed to meet the dynamic needs of modern healthcare facilities, Healtether ensures seamless management of both administrative and clinical tasks. Its in-built Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), helps assist doctors in diagnosing conditions, recommending evidence-based treatments, and identifying potential risks. It also helps mitigate drug errors such as incorrect dosages, harmful drug interactions, or contraindications based on a patient’s medical history. Healtether's appointment management system enables the user to effortlessly schedule / cancel / reschedule appointments. Glad to see Department of Science & Technology, Government of India in a recent piece refer to our research around how SCTIMST build the biomedical innovation ecosystem in India over 1976-1995 period. This was published in JPIM Journal of Product Innovation Management, link to full article in comment. SCTIMST is a pioneering government research institution in #India. It is a remarkable story of how a handful of scientists with limited resources successfully commercialised multiple low-cost biomedical devices such as heart valves, blood bags and oxygenators in 1980s and 1990s of India adopting #frugalinnovation approaches. ?? Sharing an insightful report by swissnex India (2016) on India’s healthcare and medical technology landscape. Ten years later, India still relies on 70–80% imports for medical devices. Striking points from the report: Food for Thought ?? Doctor-to-population ratio: 1:1428 (abysmally low). ?? Poor home-grown Tech: 30% import for disposables and consumables, but over 85% for electronics and equipment. ?? Healthcare gap: 70% of the population lives in rural areas, but most healthcare facilities are in cities. ?? Healthcare burden: High morbidity, low mortality. Though I may be too young in the ecosystem to fully opine on this, I strongly believe the call of the hour is: ?? Right problem to solve: Diverting from the rat race, the choice of problems to solve should be driven by the voice of clinicians. ???? Indigenous solutions: While we’re making great efforts to attract manufacturing players to India, indigenous problems must be solved by indigenous technologies. ?? Collaboration culture: A culture of collaboration among the government, academia, healthcare facilities, and industries must be fostered. ?? Expand opportunities: Delegation of efforts to second- and third-tier engineering institutions to widen the talent pool, with mentorship from first-tier ones. India has immense potential to transform its healthcare landscape—time to act!

Learnt 3-THINGS from Dr Dinesh Sethi, an entrepreneurial Radiologist who studied from UCMS, Delhi & Lady Hardinge Medical College - LHMC New Delhi. Along with his practice that extends for more than 2 decades, he's been involved in many Healthtech projects and has also been instrumental in creating many medical websites and apps, and helping many AI based healthcare startups in refining their algorithms. I learnt 3 things from him that I would also like to imbibe in my own life: 1) You can pursue and LEARN newer things at any STAGE OF YOUR LIFE & EVOLVE into a better version of yourself. I was amazed when I came to know that he recently finished his MBA from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. 2) YOU CAN’T JUST BE DEFINED BY A JOB & develop more CREATIVE outlets to express yourself. Being a doctor, he has written 2 books and 1 of them is on AI in Healthcare focusing on the period of COVID-19 & how AI algorithms catalysed the discovery of vaccines.
