?? Why are Scope 3 emissions so hard to calculate? Roberta Sgariglia, our Senior Data Scientist at Resourcify, breaks it down in this video. Scope 3 emissions: the indirect emissions from a company’s value chain, often make up the majority of an organisation’s carbon footprint. Yet, they’re also the hardest to track. ?? At Resourcify, we’re helping businesses simplify the process with tools that drive accurate data collection, actionable insights, and measurable reductions. Watch to learn more from Roberta’s expertise, and let us know: ?? What’s your business' biggest challenge when it comes to Scope 3 emissions? #Scope3 #CarbonAccounting #Sustainability #NetZero #CircularEconomy #Resourcify #ProductReflections #Circularity #WasteManagement #Data #DataScience

?? Data collection is often the biggest hurdle for companies on their emissions measurement journey. This is especially true for Scope 3 emissions, which can feel like an overwhelming challenge due to their broad nature. ?? Common pain points include identifying the necessary data, mapping the data owners within your organisation, and dealing with missing or incompatible data. If this resonates I invite you to join Unravel Carbon's upcoming webinar, which I will be hosting with Unravel Carbon's superstar Product Manager, Valeria Gonzalez Duarte. ?? During the webinar, we will share practical strategies for overcoming these challenges and setting your business up for a smoother emissions measurement journey. You'll learn how to: - Know the right stakeholders and data owners to involve - Simplify task management and coordination across functions and markets - Identify data gaps, ensuring data completion, and pre-verifying your data before carbon measurement - Improve internal data collection processes for a complete view of your emissions To register, check out the link in the comments! We look forward to seeing you there! The recording will be shared with all those who register. #emissionsmeasurement #scope3emissions #sustainability #data #webinar

Data changes Everything?? Market Architecture for data sharing in built environment with climate change and SDGs baked in. Gavin Starks: Energy ? Water ?, next maybe Property, Transport, Planning and Construction. Icebreaker One as the consistent and trusted cross industry Implementation entity for Trust Framework would become one of the biggest drivers for innovation, new capital and growth the industry has experienced for years. Keep going IB1 team and many thanks for your continued efforts. Industry has to sponsor this, (Arup Jim Johnson is doing its part, more are needed) Philanthropic’s should provide core funding, Government ensures social usefulness. Philanthropy and Government could do more. Would be interesting to see an economic appraisal of the impact a Market Architecture with Trust Framework could have compared with bilateral data sharing status quo and the plethora of pooling initiatives. Maybe just feeling a sense of what is possible as I am heading to the Emirates Stadium for our Bayern encounter ??.
Meet the Stream Team Series ?? : Icebreaker One Icebreaker One is a neutral non-profit that works on data sharing and sustainability. Our mission is to make data work harder to deliver net zero, and we do this by convening organisations and governments to design and deliver solutions at market scale. Our team’s expertise is in implementing data governance and sharing across commercial markets. We do this because data is key to good decision-making for reaching net zero across all sectors, but right now, it’s too hard to find and access the data we need. That means it is massively under-exploited and often hidden from view. We break down these barriers. Our goal is to make it easy to find, access, and trust the data we need to reach net zero. What made you want to be part of the Stream collective? ? We’re part of the Stream collective because we believe that trusted data is essential to delivering net zero, and has the potential to make a huge positive impact on the water sector. To unlock public and private sector benefits, the ability to effectively share data is essential. That requires net-zero data infrastructure that is governed openly and independently - and that’s where Icebreaker One comes in. What impact do you think Stream will make on the water industry, society, and the environment? ? Stream has the potential to make a huge impact for net zero and for customers’ lives. By drawing on collective experience, sharing our research and best practices, we can reduce carbon in the water sector and reach our net-zero goals quicker. And the insights available from open data mean water companies can improve water management and improve efficiency, meaning better service for customers. What excites you most about Stream? ? Stream is exciting because it’s collaborative and ambitious. Unlocking water data has the potential to create real benefits for customers, society and the environment - but no one company can do it alone. Instead, 16 water companies and 6 partner organisations are working together to create an open data framework for the sector. It’s exactly this kind of collective action we need to get to net zero.?
