Therapy and capacity-building training play essential roles in fostering resilient communities. Therapy focuses on individual well-being, offering people the emotional support and tools they need to navigate personal challenges. It helps individuals heal, grow, and become more self-aware. In contrast, capacity-building training equips people with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle broader community issues, fostering leadership, collaboration, and a shared sense of responsibility. Together, these approaches create stronger, more resilient communities by addressing both personal mental health needs and collective empowerment. Therapy strengthens individuals, while capacity-building training enhances their ability to contribute positively to the community, ensuring mental and emotional well-being at both personal and societal levels. At Mann Neeti, we are committed to using both approaches to build more resilient, empowered communities. And here's an exciting offer! Gift a therapy session to your loved ones. In the wake of the election, safe spaces for our community—and especially for our leaders of color—is more crucial than ever. As we navigate environments where we are the minority, strong mental health support is essential to maintaining our well-being and leadership as we do the work required to ensure that young people of color have the opportunity to build generational wealth and thrive.? Share with us: what mental health resources do you know about or have you found effective? How is your organization upholding these safe spaces during these challenging times? Let’s discuss in the comments and collaborate to ensure our community is equipped with the resources and resilience needed to thrive as the marathon continues. #WeAreEdLoC

??????????????????. It’s a concept often banded about, but when we think about it, #community is of core importance for all of us. Whether it’s our family, friends, sports team, local parents group, university club – ?????????????????????? ?????? ????????? ???? ???????? ???????? ???? ???????????? ?????? ????????????. Togetherall is a community all its own, where typical aspects of our identities aren't actually part of the equation. Individuals on Togetherall connect through experiences and feelings. Everyone is anonymous and all members are free to express themselves in a safe and judgement-free space; their struggles of the day, their challenges with a mental health condition, their issues with home or family, or something that they simply don't feel comfortable discussing with their inner circle. It’s a unique place, overseen by licensed #mentalhealth practitioners, 24/7/365, meaning that anyone can log on at any time, post what they’re going through and/or respond to someone else, and always have the safeguarding of clinical oversight. ?? ?????? ?????????????????? ???? ??????????????. We’re wrapping up #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth this week by exploring an essential aspect to mental health — community care. The greatest protest against oppressive systems is to care for each other. At We Choose Us, we recognize that this work is collective, interdependent, and quite frankly, just better together. So, what are some ways we can practice community care? ?? Build One Another Up: Systems encourage us to compete with one another, but what if we shifted the focus to celebrate one another, recognize where credit is due, and advocate for collective success? There’s room for all of us to win. ?? Resist Causing Harm: How can we be more aware about the impacts our choices have on others? How can we unlearn toxic behaviors and work to break the cycle of harm? The power to heal and choose each other lies within each of us. ?? Protect Each Other from Isolation: Sharing our struggles (even the weird ones!) can disrupt feelings of isolation and helps everyone realize they’re not the only one. Let’s make vulnerability the new normal. ?? See One Another’s Humanity: How can we radically accept who each of us are to deeply affirm one another’s humanity? This may require us to have layered conversations, confront our own assumptions, and resist canceling each other for just being human. This work isn’t easy, but it’s worth it to have the opportunity to feel seen, valued, and connected. Let’s rewrite the narrative of how we relate to one another and uplift each other’s well-being. #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealthawaresness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthjourney #mentalhealthmatters #reframingmentalhealth #coaching #wellbeing #wellness #wellnesscoaching #chooseyourself #chooseeachother #communitycare

Anybody ever felt like going to therapy was a sign of weakness and you should rather just suck it up and keep pushing through the hard times? ?? Yeah—that’s exactly the type of thinking we do NOT want the next generation to proceed with. Although seeing mental health services as taboo is something that many of us as adults have probably thought at one time or another, setting healthy boundaries and seeking professional help to work through past trauma are exceptional ways to set ourselves up for better overall health outcomes. Yesterday I hosted an hourlong workshop with R1 RCM to curate mental health toolkits for young people at an amazing nonprofit in California called The Alcott Center for Mental Health. The Alcott Center has been providing community mental health services for the past 45 years. More importantly than simply providing access to these important services, they help dismantle the social stigma associated with seeking mental health services. During our volunteer workshop, employees were split into breakout rooms to create colorful, fun, fact cards for youth at The Alcott Center about accessing mental health services. These toolkits will hopefully inspire younger generations to seek services when they need them, and to know where to easily and affordably find them. Being able to connect corporate employees who have a passion for service directly with nonprofits around the world in dire need of those resources is a blessing. And it’s always a good day when I get to host a corporate social responsibility event for the R1 RCM team and Goodera! ?? #goodera #dogoodfeelgood #r1rcm #alcottcenter #losangeles #california #csr #socialimpact #socialgood #zoomhost #virtualhost #virtualemcee #speaker #facilitator #moderator #presenter #host #mentalhealth #mentalhealthresources #mentalhealthstigma #mentalhealthtaboo #emotionalhealth
