A recent report reveals that between 16-58% of women have experienced technology-facilitated gender-based violence, while 85% of women who spend time online have witnessed digital violence against other women. As digital technology increasingly shapes our daily lives, it has also led to new and amplified forms of gender-based violence. Although not a new issue, technology-facilitated violence against women and girls has escalated in recent years, posing significant threats to their safety and well-being both online and offline. This highlights the urgent need to protect and uphold women's rights in the digital age. Furthermore, children, too, are highly vulnerable in the digital space, facing risks such as being exploited through the production, distribution, and consumption of sexual abuse material, or being groomed for sexual exploitation.
