In Jharkhand, irregular demography and erratic rainfall cripples livelihoods, leaving communities struggling. While MGNREGA offers some relief, its approach often falls short. 'NEEDS - Exist to Impact', a non-profit organisation, has partnered with the Jharkhand government and MGNREGA to empower women and provide employment to the community through sustainable practices. With training, they become MATES, guiding MGNREGA workers efficiently. These women analyse land, propose projects, and facilitate watershed projects, bringing economic stability to the region. The National Career Service - India (NCS) portal is becoming a key platform for young job seekers, providing access to employment services across sectors. With over 35 lakh registered employers and more than 1.1 crore active job seekers as of October 31, 2024, the NCS portal continues to support workforce mobilization. This financial year, the total number of vacancies posted on NCS has already crossed the 1 crore mark. The job seekers using the NCS portal will gain access to more healthcare job opportunities in the portal especially in Tier 2 and 3 cities of the country.
