B. The week end off culture might eventually fade away C. The salaries slabs could drop D. There could be more policies that could impose more physical and mental pressure directly and indirectly as IT domain has resource in abundance and they would capitalize on that! anything to add? #Tech employee in #India struggle whole life and even at end of the career, not able to touch fresher salary of US Counterpart! Fresher package is $1 LPA ~ 83 LPA INR. That way by doing job in US, you will acquire retirement fund of 2 crore in 4 years! But lifetime of tech job in #India results at max 1.5 cr - 2 cr asset on average. As per job data - tech career span in #India is two decades - many reach 30 LPA after 2 decades of experience - which is $36,000. It again reaffirm that we are doing job just for good mental health, work life balance but not to be rich; even in tech jobs. Any random NRI will be 5x-6x richer than top performer tech employee. So if you are in job, consume your leaves - give family some time. Many says, its not patriotic - cream is going abroad. Actually being NRI is more patriotic because you should have money at first place to help Indian economy. You leaving India will bring opportunity to some Indians. Also its not cream but intelligent one goes abroad. Even contribution to family can't be with empty pockets. Best time to go when you are bachelor - live in 4-6 sharing in CA. You may need to say Good bye to #tech #job at 40 years of age in #India. Take it in bold. Manage your finance accordingly. AI has aggravated this problem further. However this problem only exist in India and other developing nation. Again I am not saying that you will not have job after 40 years, I am saying its 9 times more difficult to switch because current leaders are not retiring soon and IT is not expanding further. So everything above 40 is a bonus. But you should achieve FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) Number before this atleast a crore without loan! Illustration: Tech is not expanding - so we stuck into famous pyramid problem. Today we have 50 Lakh techies (45 Lakh IC and 5 Lakh manager and higher). In 5 years - 15 Lakh techies want to become manager, those 5 Lakh are not leaving so no option; lets say - okay all retired then also where 10 Lakh people will go? Today 15+ year experienced job is 10% and most of them are just listed, not to be filled.
