The construction of the ?1,200 crore Petrochemical Park, one of Kerala’s most prestigious projects, is progressing rapidly. Located at kochi, the KINFRA Petrochemical Park aims to attract significant investments, with expectations of ?10,000+ crore and the creation of 20,000+ direct job opportunities.
The project has already crossed the halfway mark, attracting industries worth hundreds of crores. Of the 17 units allotted land, three have already commenced operations, creating many jobs. The government is ensuring all essential infrastructure, including electricity, water, an effluent treatment plant, GAIL pipelines, and hazardous waste disposal facilities. Additionally, the park will feature seamless logistics arrangements, warehousing, and a trading hub.
The BPCL Polypropylene Plant, a ?5,000 crore investment, is also expected to be established within this park. With construction advancing swiftly, the park is expected to become operational this year. This will mark another industrial leap for Kerala, creating over 20,000 direct jobs and transforming the state’s industrial landscape.
