The Collaborative on Citizen Data will be hosting its third Expert Group Meeting in New York City this July, on the sidelines of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). This pivotal two-day event will gather diverse stakeholders, including communities, CSOs, NSOs, national human rights institutions, academia, and regional and international organizations, to focus on advancing citizen-generated data and citizen science data for the SDGs. Our objectives for this meeting are to: ?? Refine the Copenhagen Framework on Citizen Data ?? Pilot and implement the Copenhagen Framework ?? Discuss a fit-for-purpose quality framework for citizen data ?? Define the work programme Citizen data is essential for filling critical data gaps on often underrepresented groups, such as migrants, persons with disabilities, and indigenous populations. By enhancing citizen participation in government decision-making, we aim to further values of fairness, inclusiveness, openness, and transparency in statistics. Join us and other members of the Collaborative in our joint effort to leverage citizen data for inclusive development and the successful implementation of the SDGs. Stay tuned for updates and insights from this important meeting! For more information on the EGM, visit: https://lnkd.in/euKxfUut To learn more about the Collaborative: https://lnkd.in/ezKtr8wJ
