Inspired and Humbled by the Response to Our CES Demo As someone new to creating posts and sharing updates on LinkedIn, I was truly humbled by the incredible interest in our bookshelf CBT array product concept that we showcased at CES. The overwhelming positive feedback from customers and the broader community has been inspiring—and deeply moving. Comments like, “Wow, man, these are better than my *******’s!” (a leading highly reputable studio monitor company) and “Wait, wait… what? There is no separate subwoofer? WOW” have validated the effort and innovation that went into this product concept. The demo also sparked some fantastic discussions on CBT arrays and their potential, which has been exciting to see! Revolutionising Audio for LED Walls - In addition to a standard setup with three LCR front speakers positioned behind the screen, Giles and the TPI Aerospace Limited team showcased their innovative solution for large-format LED walls, where placing LCR speakers behind the screen isn’t an option. The TPI Movement system employs six strategically placed speakers—three above and three below the screen—paired with a proprietary TPI Movement Controller. This advanced technology precisely steers the audio toward the listening position. The result? A soundstage that appears to originate exactly from the intended location, even though the speakers aren’t physically there. Remarkably, the clarity and immersive quality we experienced with conventional speaker placement were fully preserved. Simply incredible!

In recent technology, many amps have built-in measurement software and predictive filters or combined responses. This is a great tool! However, this does not mean critical thinking is suppressed just because the tool can easily make a flat line (assumed on-axis). Remember, just because it looks flat on the screen, it doesn't mean it sounds "flat." HOLOPLOT Projects Lead Gareth Davies offers insights into how our technology improves stereo listening for audiences. “We’ve created a unique solution that uses 3D Audio-Beamforming to define target zones to mitigate loss in audio imaging caused by extremely large coverage areas. By dividing the coverage area into zones we prevent unaligned arrival times of the beams from the left and right arrays. Using defined zones at the front and to the extreme sides of the coverage area we’re able to taper the gain to ensure that outside of the alignment zone (within 50ms) the audience will only experience a mono summed mix, resulting in clear, echo-free sound.
