Mere hours after my remark that Google has not officially confirmed the removal of automatic prioritization of PMax over Standard Shopping in ad auctions, we got the awaited announcement. And it delivered big because it came with several other updates. I am mostly fascinated with the new opportunities to experiment. As you probably know: ? I always start my Google Ads workshops with the statement "Never trust Google". Having skin in the game, I never turn the Final URL expansion in Performance Max campaigns. But very soon all of us will be able to A/B test campaigns with and without this feature - I am ready to be proven wrong that it does not work properly. ?? I am a passionate feed-only guy, when it comes to my E-Commerce accounts. Correspondingly, the latest Feed-Only vs Full-Asset experiment feature is very intriguing. It can either confirm the hypothesis that Feed-Only delivers better performance and Google is cheating us to purchase low-quality Video and Display inventory, or it can demonstrate that human bias might hurt performance. ??
