They rejected us because of our home office. We responded by opening at a prime location. This is how our New York office born A few years ago, we attended a recruitment fair at a top Ivy League college in the US. We presented our vision and answered tough questions, they were particularly interested in speaking with the founders. They wanted to know how Hexaview Technologies Inc. had grown and what our future looked like. They even called one of our top clients, a leading US bank, to verify our work. The feedback? Outstanding. Everything seemed on track. Then, three days later, we got a rejection letter. Why? Because our registered office was my cousin’s home. They couldn’t digest the fact that a 300-employee company with a stellar reputation was still using a residential address. And just like that, we were out. Ankit Agarwal and I were stunned. We had worked tirelessly to build Hexaview Technologies Inc., and here we were, being held back by something as trivial as an office address. That evening, something clicked. I turned to Ankit and said, “If we’re going to think big, we need to act big.” Two weeks later, we signed a lease at Barclays Rise—5th Avenue 43 W 23rd St—one of the most prime business locations in New York. Looking back, we realize we were being penny-wise and pound-foolish. Growth isn’t just about scaling your team or your revenue—it’s about scaling your mindset.
