Has the roundup in Surgical Robotics already started? In the next decade there will be only a handful of strategic companies that will compete in the #surgicalrobotics space. Yet this space will be the prominent and lucrative segment of the surgical market. No robot = no surgery business. I believe it will be utterly dominated by Intuitive and then in their wake will be a couple of companies. Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson MedTech competing for a 20% to 30% share of the market. After that it will be a small rag tag of strategics that had some sense to get into surgical robotics now to either defend their current business like KARL STORZ or Olympus Corporation or Stryker maybe a left field general surgery division of BD - who knows? Beyond that there is one last chance - EVER - to get into this space and if big iron like GE HealthCare or Siemens Healthineers want a slice of the action - they have 12 months to get it on. Beyond that it will be a closed door as the smaller companies either get acquired or fade away: Great assets are Moon Surgical Distalmotion Medicaroid Ronovo Surgical CMR Surgical and others - but the clock is ticking.

The Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgical Markets are seeing changes and challenges when it comes to the materials for their devices. As parts become smaller, traditional stainless steels become less reliable, and unique alloys are often necessary to meet the demand these micro-components are subjected to. ? At Schivo, we’ve stepped up to this challenge. By leveraging tech and creating unique manufacturing processes, we’re able to develop sub-one millimeter alloy components that hold up to the taxing requirements necessary for medical devices. #Innovation?#Industry40 #MachineLearning #Robotics #FutureofWork #DataScience #Automation?#Medtech #MedicalDevices ?#minimallyinvasivesurgery #roboticsurgery #Manufacturing?#SmartManufacturing

?????? ?????? ?????????? ?????? ?????????? ??????????????????, ?? ???????????????????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????????????????? ???????????????? ?????????????? ??????????????????????? The field of surgical robotics is rapidly advancing, offering enhanced precision, telesurgery, and complex autonomous functions. Since the first surgical robot in 1985, the industry has expanded significantly, now dominated by devices like Intuitive’s da Vinci. However, this innovation comes with challenges in safe and ethical clinical translation, often lacking robust evaluation methods. A new paper introduces the IDEAL framework, a structured pathway for evaluating surgical robotic innovations. It covers all stages, from early feasibility to long-term monitoring, ensuring rigorous evaluation and patient safety. From a clinical and regulatory perspective, it provides practical recommendations that can inform regulatory strategies for companies involved in surgical robotics and related technologies to support them to better successfully navigate the complexities of clinical and regulatory compliance. This is also a field we know well at Cliniture, working with Microbot Medical and several others in the sector. Please free to reach out if you would like clinical regulatory guidance in the surgical robotics field. Which poses a greater risk: Human or robotic error? This is the critical question the medical field must answer when assessing cobot use in surgeries. While robots excel in precise surgeries, hospitals must be certain of the mechanical and software reliability before giving full dependency to cobots. Asamaka Industries Ltd dives into cobot reliability in healthcare: https://hubs.la/Q02VqDR60

Let's get used to cobots! These are collaborative robots that work in close proximity to human employees. One example where they could be useful is, of course, healthcare. Life Science Robotics has developed Robert that can help patients after surgery or after a stroke. It helps move the patient’s joint and muscles intensively to improve healing and to avoid complications. Robots don't replace nurses but greatly enhances their work and impact on patients' well-being. This is the way.

Robotics Reshaping Medicine Across Specialties Robotic systems are increasingly being adopted in healthcare to carry out various tasks that enhance patient care. Interestingly, tech can cause hesitation during treatments. My real question is why? With proper use, these devices are currently redefining statistical safety. Recently I had the privilege to witness a family member's surgery, behind the glass. Having a successful operation to address cardiac issues with the help of less invasive tech is a scientific achievement. - Enhanced Surgical Precision: The da Vinci Surgical System, developed by Intuitive Surgical, offers magnified 3D vision and precise instrument manipulation, enabling surgeons to perform complex procedures with unparalleled accuracy. - Innovative Solutions: Brands like Xenex are introducing disinfecting robots to combat healthcare-associated infections, while SAM from Savioke and Origami are redefining patient interaction in long-term care environments. #Engineering?#Robotics?#HealthcareInnovation?#HealthcareLeadership?#HealthTech?#MedTech?#MedicalCareers
