I had the privilege of participating in Skillsoft's Perspectives Amsterdam event last week, which was all about the impact of technology (particularly GenAI) as we skill talent to meet the workforce needs of the future. Our keynote speaker and futurist, Lieke (Cornelia) Lamb, approached the topic philosophically. Lamb focused on the relationship between enduring concepts and their ever-changing manifestations. She talked about the driving forces behind our actions (concepts) and the ways they materialize in today's world (manifestations), emphasizing that while our fundamental challenges remain, our methods of addressing them evolve constantly. To that end, Lamb shared a timeless quote from Socrates: "The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room." It was a clever nod to the idea that change is constant. We've always wanted to fly; we've just replaced Icarus' wings with rocket boosters. However, the most compelling insight from Lamb's keynote was the idea that while each generation faces its unique challenges, what we are experiencing now is unprecedented in human history: no one knows what will be relevant in 20 years.?We are amid an unparalleled acceleration of change, rendering the concept of a 'job for life' obsolete. By the time we master the game, the rules have changed. So, how do we equip ourselves to remain relevant? To prepare for the jobs of tomorrow? It starts by embracing the unknown, dedicating ourselves to continual learning and skill-building, and remaining agile. Oh, and by reminding ourselves that the core concepts that motivate us don’t change; it’s how we bring them to life that does.

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend the Techsauce Global Summit 2024, where I explored new technologies that various companies showcased and listened to knowledge-sharing sessions from industry experts. What’s interesting is that over 90% of the content discussed was about AI! And around mid of July, I also had the chance to attend Agile Thailand, where I exchanged knowledge with Agilists and Agile Practitioners in the field. I found that AI continues to be a hot topic in every aspect. AI or Gen AI has started playing a role in many areas of work, from helping to write documents, draft emails, and brainstorm business ideas to analyzing sales and customer behavior. As for the IT or Software Development side, it’s no surprise that AI has become one of the main agendas for every organization, helping us achieve 10x performance in our work! In the Agile world, AI has started to assist in analyzing team performance, translating product strategy into User Stories (Product Backlog), and even acting as a consultant for teams in applying Agile Frameworks. Some even say that AI can serve as an Agile Coach, thanks to Agile Gurus and Experts who have trained and input knowledge into many Gen AI tools, making them more advanced. But be cautious, "sh_t data gives you sh_t AI!" Personally, I believe that Agile is not just about Frameworks, Processes, or Tools. To truly achieve Agility, it’s not just about "Doing Agile," but "Being Agile." There’s a matter of Mindset and People Skills that AI still cannot replace (though, who knows about the future? After three days packed with insights, discussions, and networking, it's a wrap on the ???????? ???????????? ????????! ?? Reflecting on the big themes, it's clear that this year's summit was all about pushing the boundaries of Agile evolution and fostering innovation in the ever-changing landscape of enterprise transformation. In a world where we're firmly entrenched in a "Post-Agile Transformation" era, the importance of measuring value has never been more crucial. As organizations navigate through this new landscape,?????????????????????? ?????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????????? ?????????????????????????????? becomes paramount. We discussed extensively how ????-?????????????? ?????????????????? ???????????????????? ?????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? and Co-Pilots will play an increasingly vital role in driving value generation within teams. ?? From "strategy-to-execution" to quantifying the tangible economic benefits of SAFe transformations, and even introducing the GenAI within the SAFe framework, the conversations were nothing short of enlightening. We delved into the complexities of scaling SAFe for massive systems, all while emphasizing the importance of measurable outcomes and strategic scalability. ?? But perhaps what made this summit ?????????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????? ?????????????????????? ???? ?????????????? ???????? ????????-???????????? ??????????????????????, sharing experiences, and learning from each other's successes and challenges.
