So, today we say goodbye to 1 Broughton market and move to a new studio in #edinburgh Our new home will be a shared creative studio with our friends at Attacat. From June 1st, we will be located at:? First Floor, The Stack 1 Papermill Wynd McDonald Road Edinburgh EH7 4QL Following Covid, traditional office spaces are underutilised nearly 50% of the time. And, as we have adopted a hybrid working arrangement, sharing studio space makes perfect commercial sense.?? By sharing our studio, we maximise the use of the space, reduce costs, and contribute to a more sustainable work environment. It's a win-win for both parties. But it’s not just about the numbers. Working in a shared space fosters collaboration and creativity. Wow, I’ve Really Come a Long Way! ???? As a girl who grew up in and out of juvenile hall, I was one of 12 who boldly stood up against Wackenhut Private Prisons for the abuses happening in their youth facilities. That fight, nearly two decades ago, could have easily sent me down a dark path, like so many others who were abused. Instead, I chose a different path—one of courage, resilience, and a deep commitment to making the world a better place. Today, I’m proud to introduce our pitch deck for the Haunted Texas Theme Park—a $1.39 billion project near Austin that blends history, sustainability, and cutting-edge AR/VR technology. This isn’t just another theme park; it’s a beacon of hope, a testament to the power of perseverance, and a platform for creating positive change. ???? Reflecting on this journey, I realize how easily I could have become the villain in my own story. But instead, I’ve chosen to be the hero. Every day, I fight to build something that will transform lives and uplift communities. Lots of eye opening for me at #luckyleaf?minneapolis this last weekend. Top level observations: impressed with some of the startups (special kudos to Terpwolves) who really seem to have business plans together. Troubled however in the lack of information and continued discontinuity in rulemaking and licensure. We need this information ASAP. I know the OCM is trying, but time is running out. I was particularly dismayed from the scuttlebutt that OCM is going to largely depend on out of state labs moving in to support the industry. Flies in the face of the idealism of a craft industry, and threatens the system given the wide range data falsification seen in states with the mega-labs. We have a strong biotech and chemical industry here and there is no reason we can't build a local structure the cooperates with the state reference lab instead of trying to deceive it. Why do we want to ship that revenue out of state??

Strengthening Pathways and Exit Credential Transcript – Successful Futures ? Over many years and countless conversations and meetings with tertiary education providers and industry leaders, it became evident that employers were looking for more than just a strong academic record from prospective employees. Time and time again, high level attendance, Duke of Edinburgh award recipients, demonstrated leadership, public speaking, involvement in charity/voluntary work, Gazelle Project Management skills, participation in sport, cultural engagement, part-time employment, mentoring and coaching others and engagement in activities outside of school were all very highly valued. These requirements became known at Plumpton High School as Exit Credentials. ? To this end, the leadership team at Plumpton High School set about putting in place our Strengthening Pathways Framework and opportunity after opportunity for all of our students to select how they could contribute to not only their own development but to the growth and improvement of our school and our broader community/society. ? Out of this was born, the Exit Credential Transcript, an annual and official document presented to every student from Year 7 to Year 12 outlining their efforts and contributions within the Strengthening Pathways Framework.?The Exit Credential Transcript is a record, that is tracked out of the Futures Centre, and gives every student the opportunity to create their personal brand. What is included in an Exit Credential is entirely within the power of the individual to customise to their strengths and interests. ? By the completion of Year 12, every student will have 6 Exit Credential Transcripts to present to prospective employees, to use in scholarship applications and to include in University entry processes. ? To date in 2024, we have recorded 1200 separate entries of student accomplishment and contributions. ? We are so invested in your FUTURE. What a great place to be!
