? We thought we’d share a slightly different project this Friday to showcase the true breadth of creative solutions we offer. ? We are proud to partner with ?rsted, a global leader in renewable energy, focusing on wind power and sustainable energy solutions. ?? We are incredibly excited to introduce you to the amazing ?rsted visitor centre. Not only did we provide the full concept for these innovative learning zones, but we also coordinated the furniture design, build & installation, and flooring installation. This enabled us to bring the full vision to life. ???The Challenge: ?rsted wanted to create an engaging visitor centre to educate school students about wind energy and inspire future careers at ?rsted. The goal was to provide a stimulating and memorable experience that communicated the importance of renewable energy and the opportunities within the field. ???Our Solution: We transformed ?rsted's vision into reality by designing and building interactive learning zones. The centre features three key areas: ?? Zone 1: Construction to Operation – This zone includes a VR booth, a wind-to-electricity simulator, and a touchscreen kiosk with interactive features, games, and information about wind farms and job profiles at ?rsted. ?? Zone 2: Interactive Zone – Utilizing a 55” touchscreen with multi-touch capability, this zone provides scientific information in an engaging way, helping students retain and absorb the material. ?? Zone 3: Timeline & Lookout – Featuring a touchscreen video wall and a telescope booth, this zone offers a captivating look at the wind turbines and an interactive timeline of ?rsted’s development. ?? Interactive AR App: To enhance the experience, we developed an AR app that allows visitors to explore 3D models of operating wind farms from outside Earth’s atmosphere. This app includes detailed explanations of how wind turbines work, insights into life on a wind farm, and a fun game of higher or lower. ?? The Results: The ?rsted visitor centre now offers a stimulating, memorable experience. The interactive features and AR app successfully engage students, providing valuable insights into renewable energy and inspiring future careers. The centre has become a vibrant educational hub, seamlessly integrating interactive elements to captivate visitors. We loved working on this project, showcasing how innovative design and technology can transform educational spaces. ?? ???? VOICE Insight The new VOICE Insight issue comes in a video format. Professor Lizbeth Goodman from SMARTLAB University College Dublin (UCD) talks about the projects before VOICE that led to this initiative, all with the aim of giving a voice to artists who are often the catalyst of positive changes. Do you have experience in working with data? Join “Transition to 8: European Societies in Flux” (TT8), an innovative project merging social sciences, technology, and contemporary art to raise awareness about air pollution's impact on European communities. ?????? ???????? ???? ????????? Six artists will be selected to create original digital or sound works using data such as heart rate, body temperature, and skin conductance, collected during participatory activities like bodystorming and sociodrama, ones that capture communities' emotional and biometric responses to pressing social issues like air pollution. The data, analysed by computer and social scientists, will be then transformed into digital moodboards that include: raw data,visuals, text, graphs, data sonifications, and visualisations. Artists will then utilise these moodboards to create original artworks. Supported by Creative Europe, TT8 will run until October 2026, with events in Eleusis (Greece), Rennes (France), Ljubljana (Slovenia), and a final showcase in Yerevan (Armenia). Artworks will also be presented at major festivals like Sonica (Slovenia) and Maintenant (France). ????????’?? ???? ???? ?????? ??????????????? Hybrid residencies between May and July 2025: ?1 week of digital meetings with artists and partners. ?2 weeks of physical residency in a host city (Eleusis, Rennes, or Ljubljana). ?1 week of digital support after.
