This is a good idea for certain types of products and hauls but due to DOT weight regulations and restrictions the loads need to have the weight distributed properly as well as proper load securement or else the load can shift and cause damage to the inside of the trailer and / or fall out of the trailer. Then all the poor little robots will be squashed! And product damaged but all in all these are very good ideas and concepts just so many things that can happen if anything doesn’t line up properly none of those steps above can be executed
I? love the technology. Hands down. BUT how man thousands of people will become unemployed and the prospect for jobs will be all but gone. FACT. if people don't work. No income is made to pay taxes on. No taxes paid. More Government deficit.? Weaker economy and significantly higher inflation. How is this technology helping I. The building of our country and stabilizing America for the future?
The only issue I can see is that loads move when in transit despite efforts to prevent this and it doesn’t look like this much room for error when the lifters have to slide in to lift the load and pull it out.
Shipping in bulk, with massive unnecessary packaging, is killing the planet. We need to get to: 1) Order one 2) Deliver one 3) Make one. And set up this Energy Efficient, ON-TIME-RELIABLE, MINIMAL NATURE DAMAGE, transport system between every factory & home to deliver or take back delivery/recycling. The way Transport is being done today is insanely energy INEFFICIENT ( #emergy ). I have a Transport patent that makes this easier to achieve than even maintaining current methods. ... Just think, once you fully automate with robots probally made in china and warehouse workers are unemployed by the millions, there will be millions of less employed people to putchase the products moved by thr robots. Robots are not programed to have a need to make purchases or even get paychecks at all. It's self destruction of your consumer market. this will effect across industries like falling dominos.
This only works with a guarantee of fairly high degree of homogeneity in support boards and products. Many companies do not operate with that guarantee. It looks great, but will in reality cause many operational challenges and disruptions.

2 个月There are many different automation methods of unloading trucks being rolled out throughout the world that are efficient and cost effective. However, the methods that will take over is one that requires no on the floor, only people overseeing the automation. Automation will eventually take over all levels of the logistics chain. Automation will be building pallets, sometimes from scratch, loading them onto trucks and at the other end, there will be systems to unload and store directly from the truck. Without any human intervention, other than the driver which is also being tested now with autonomous driving. These systems can function all day, every day, without breaks, without liability of injury and its faster, and causes less damage to products overall. Trucks can be loaded from existing stock already stored in the warehouse automatically when required, weight balanced and loaded onto trucks without any human ever touching it.
