Last month, I had the opportunity to present Gamezop's research at the Google India News Summit 2024. Here are two key findings from our study: 1?? The New York Times now sees higher engagement from its gaming section than from news – a surprising shift they proudly embrace. 2?? Since the early 20th century, newspapers have used Crosswords and Sudokus to drive reader loyalty and increase sales – thus, games have always been integral to media. It’s exciting to see so many of the world’s largest news publishers turning to HTML5 games as a key strategy for monetisation and engagement. Big thanks to Killol Buch, Sweta Jhunjhunwala, Prakshal Jain, and Gunjan Singhvi.
What an insight! Games are no longer just casual tools to engage. It's a serious engagement tool for corporations to create more loyalty and monetization in their growth Journey.
Nice insights Gaurav Agarwal. Can we get access to full research? :)
What a cool discovery! Who would have thought The New York Times' gaming section would steal the spotlight! Looks like, gaming ab sirf baccho ka khel nahi hai. Kudos!
