In early 2021, Bowman County Development Corporation (BCDC) undertook a multi-step process to develop a five-year strategic growth plan for Bowman County. The decision to undertake this project was based on the desire to craft a shared growth vision that elected officials, the business community, and residents could agree and work together in implementing. This 2022-2027 Bowman County Strategic Plan is intended to serve as a roadmap in guiding the decisions of leaders to ensure everyone is working towards a common purpose to grow Bowman County. Collaboration and engagement among stakeholder groups is the best way to guarantee meeting the plan’s goals and strategic objectives. Leadership is about evidencing positive behaviours, respect, professionalism, honesty and visibility. I wonder if with the new regulatory regime and the focus on basic housing qualifications, the views and opinions of colleagues as to how effective their director’s and board members are performing will be assessed in the future, particularly with monitoring landlord noise on social media and public opinion now being taken into account with new powers introduced. :-)

Great to be part of this event panel last week with Vinay Parmar and Tim Threipland, talking about how businesses rebuild trust after a crisis and public scrutiny. Three key takeaways from our conversation: ?? Consumers want to purchase from brands that leverage their influence to encourage social impact, who aspire to raise the bar for business behaviour ??
