Planning narrative and planning code are very similar. The difference being, if you change your protag’s favorite flavor from chocolate to vanilla in one part of your text, the flow isn’t going to tell you that it’s broken because you had a side quest down the line in one offbeat path where she gets lured into trouble by a chocolate demon that you forgot about. #gamewriting #narrativedesign

I’m thrilled to introduce my project designed for children aged 3 and up: Pretend Play - Sushi Dish!?? This interactive activity invites kids to step into the role of sushi chefs, sparking their creativity and enhancing essential skills. Here’s how it works: Kids use menu cards to “take orders” in their pretend sushi restaurant. Using laminated sushi pieces and plates, they assemble sushi dishes that match the orders, practicing fine motor skills and pattern recognition. All components—including menu cards, sushi pieces, and plates—are printed and laminated to make them durable and ready for repeated play. I’ve also added Velcro to the pieces to make assembling sushi even more fun and interactive! Pretend play is more than just fun—it’s a powerful tool for developing social skills, problem-solving, and creativity in young children. Activities like this can also provide an early introduction to different cultures, in this case, Japanese cuisine!
