In my case, I took on a full-time role at DHL Express while being a full-time student. Juggling both responsibilities required meticulous time management and unwavering dedication. Real-World Sales Experience:? Before joining DHL Express, I worked at Vivint, where I developed my sales skills by doing door-to-door sales. Long hours knocking on doors in the hot weather taught me resilience, perseverance, and the importance of a strong work ethic. This hands-on experience was invaluable during my interview at DHL Express. It not only helped me get my foot in the door but also provided concrete examples of challenges I faced and overcame, which I could discuss during the interview. Today, I want to share my thoughts on the internship hiring process at multinational companies in Pakistan, specifically focusing on my recent experience with Unilever. As someone eager to learn and gain valuable experience, I applied for an internship with high hopes, only to be met with disappointment when I didn't receive any call for an interview. What's frustrating is that these companies often rely solely on online tests to assess candidates, which I believe fails to capture the full extent of an individual's capabilities and potential. Furthermore, there seems to be a pattern where internships are predominantly awarded to students from prestigious institutions like LUMS or IBA, creating a sense of unfair advantage. It's disheartening to see talented individuals overlooked simply because they didn't attend certain universities. I firmly believe that internships should be awarded based on merit, skills, and potential, rather than just academic pedigree. I urge these multinational companies to adopt a more inclusive and equitable approach to their internship hiring process. The repetitive and nonsensical online assessment games waste 1.5 hours each time. Everyone gets bored with their monotonous nature and cannot convince their brains to focus on these games, believing the game can or will lead to job opportunities. Companies should conduct proper field/job-related assessments, including case-based questions and relevant games. These repetitive games, common across many hiring companies, make no sense at all. This is so true ..when you favor a teacher and cover him/her ..they will give you assistant teacher jobs & favor for internships as well ...it's ok to not get one ...I recognized myself that what I can be was the last & my life changed ..I got online internship...instead burdening myself mentally & physically...I got Job without any favors from anyone,, in internship they look for a person. whom they give 4 person's Work ..& just 1 employee for this single work is taking 70K salary ..how unfair it is ...& the thing internship is basically learning & they want 110% skilled person there which is unfair too ..favor yourself to take internships online only performance based ..

This week features our intern Nick and how DHL Supply Chain integrates both collaboration and support. “In my operations intern role, I have been offered support through various forms. Both the HR team and my site leadership have supported my interest in exploring career opportunities in Operations Excellence at DHL. I have been able to meet and network with people in the field to explore my curiosity. ? Our Capstone project has a specific focus on teamwork and collaboration both within our team and outside of it. We have reached out and received help from different departments, including finance, engineering, and operations. To gather the necessary data for our project, utilizing these resources has been crucial to our team's goal. ? I know when I reflect over my internship at the end of the summer, the teamwork and collaboration-focused environment will be one of my major takeaways.
