I've been bubbling with excitement, waiting for this article to finally go live ??. Doing this interview was hands-down one of the most fun experiences I've had ??. Arne Gillis was an absolute joy to chat with. We dove into how fascinating the Nigerian agricultural scene is, and I even got to teach him a few Nigerian slangs ?? ! Touring the farms with him, meeting some of our amazing on-ground farmers, was something special. There's something inspiring about seeing young people dive into agriculture, and at Farmz2U, we're making it so straightforward that even a newbie can step in and turn a profit. But here's the thing—there’s a long-standing gap of trust between local farmers and businesses, and it’s been crying out for mending. One powerful takeaway I've had from my journey with Farmz2U is that while competition exists, collaboration is what truly gets you far. As one of our farmers, Abolaji, told Arne during the interview, understanding the interconnectedness of everyone in the chain is key to growth. By becoming the go-to partner and platform for agricultural supply chains, we’re knitting together different players and rebuilding that broken trust. As young as we are, we must be ready to embrace authentic wisdom, know what works and duplicate. Young Agribusiness Professionals must realize that, they can make millions on a project but that doesn't mean they are good enough to run businesses. There's need to apply business fundamentals to projects so we can appreciate the financial value and see the need to creating thriving Agribusinesses. This we must know that it can't happen within months. You can't scale your number's ain't right and if your pilot isn't right, the two are complementary to expansion and duplication.
