We looked at the largest 50 rental property management companies in 4 cities in the western United States to understand why residents say it is so hard to find pet-inclusive rental housing even among “pet-friendly” management companies. Only 1 property management company in 1 of the cities has at least 50% of their properties with no breed or size restrictions. Clearly, there is a lot of work to do to increase pet-inclusive housing.
