The right date range for bid optimization ?? Ever wonder what ad data you should be looking at to make the best decisions? Here’s some insight from our routine optimizations—think target ACoS, clicks without sales, etc. We’ve discovered that the last 14 days provides the best snapshot for making informed decisions. However, there's an exception... There are some low data targets that just don't get enough clicks in that 14 day window to make a decision. But, if you only looked at a longer span, like 30 or 60 days, those small numbers of clicks start to add up, giving you enough data. This approach helps us fine-tune our bids efficiently without waiting too long to gather insights. Why is this important? Choosing the right timeframe lets you adapt quickly, optimizing your spend and strategy as the market changes. What date ranges do you use when optimising? Our Amazon Prime Day recap is officially here ?? According to Adobe Analytics, online spending in the US increased 11% year-over-year to $14.2 billion during the 48-hour Prime Day shopping event, surpassing estimates and setting yet another new record. Some key takeaways & insights: ?? High AOV products are saw the highest increase in sales compared to spend in pre-Prime Day period. ?? Home goods had more consistent CPCs and conversion rates leading to nearly level increases in spend and ad sales across the brands in this category. ?? Premium Beauty struggled with traffic and highly competitive CPCs driving spend up at a much higher rate than ad sales. ?? Off-site traffic is becoming a key part of Prime Day strategy to drive more cost effective traffic to the site during the event. Across our own managed brands when comparing daily averages pre-Prime Day vs Prime Day daily average metrics, overall, we saw: ?? A 591% increase in spend. ?? Sales growth of 487%. ?? 343% increase in clicks and 56% increase in CPCs ?? 471% boost in orders ?? In July 2024, one of our clients approached us to increase the profitability of one of their key products. The Sales were stable but high advertising costs were cutting into their margins.
