?? Celebrating my first year anniversary as a Graduate Electronics Engineer at Dyson!?? Looking back on the past year, so much has happened. I didn't initially plan on working outside my hometown, but I wanted to explore the unknown and practice my chosen profession—electronics. Now, here I am at Dyson, where I've learned so much about what it takes to thrive as a fresh graduate. Reflecting on my journey, I’ve picked up some key lessons: 1. Adaptability: I had to quickly get used to the fast pace of the electronics industry. Embracing change has actually been both challenging and fulfilling! 2. Collaboration: Building strong relationships with cross-functional teams has shown me the power of effective teamwork. I’ve also learned the importance of connecting and communicating clearly with team members from different areas. 3. Technical Proficiency: I’ve found that staying sharp and learning on the job is a big part of the experience. Each day brings new opportunities to grow my skills and keep up with the evolving field. 4. Project Management: Balancing tasks and deadlines was tough at first. But with good habits and routines, I’ve gotten much better at managing my time. 5. Problem-Solving: Facing challenges head-on has pushed me to think creatively. Finding quick and effective solutions is now one of my favorite parts of the job. I couldn't have reached this milestone without my incredible mentors. Your guidance, patience, and support have been the best, and I’m deeply grateful. The Dyson community has been warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive from the start. If you’re interested in starting your journey in engineering, we have open positions at Dyson Philippines. Send me a message or check out our careers page for more details. Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is I Nyoman Lintang Daneswara from Medan, North Sumatra. This time I will explain the stages of my student's life while at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). But before that, let me explain my background first. Since I was 5 years old, I have loved electronics. One of them is laptop and cellphone devices. Since I was little, I have been interested in getting into the world of electronics because I think electronics has interesting circuits, working systems that make me very curious about how it works. I really fell in love with the world of gadgets, even to this day. Even in middle school, I also started to like taking apart cellphones and putting them back together with other cellphones. Returning to the original topic, I felt quite skeptical at the beginning before being accepted at ITS. Because I have failed in 1 course entry route, namely SNBT. And when I was accepted into the electrical engineering department, I was immediately proud of myself. Because they are able to compete with other participants from all over Indonesia, even people from abroad who want to enter the ITS electrical engineering department. I still don't know what plans I will make while studying at ITS, but what is certain is that I want to graduate on time. During the 1st semester to produce good final results and take part in several competitions which might help me to gain experience and relationships. In semester 2, I will probably enter several organizations that can help me to achieve my personal goals such as adding experience that can be included in my CV. In semester 3, I still want to continue the organization, and also take major courses that can be taken in semester 3 and try to register as an exchange student abroad, especially in Japan because I love the electrical technology in Japan. In the 4th semester I continued to do the same thing as in the 3rd semester, and started trying to find some registration information as a teaching assistant, laboratory assistant, and practicum assistant. In semester 5, if I don't succeed in carrying out the mission I created in semester 4, then in semester 5 I will repeat it again and try to register for an internship at a company to increase my experience and knowledge. In the 6th semester, I will start to focus on the field of study that I am interested in, such as electronics in industry and robotics. Why did I choose this major, because currently I think the job prospects generated by this major have interests that I have always had. In the 7th semester, I started looking for a suitable thesis title in my field. And finally, in semester 8, I want to graduate on time and have the soft skills and hard skills needed to do the work that I will be doing for quite a long time. That's all and thank you for reading the caption of this post #HIMATEKTROITS #OKKBKELEKTROITS2024 #LifePlandiITS?Muhammad Naufal Adriansyah

Please meet one of our newest technicians: Roy Jansen. Roy just finished his HBO IT studies at Hogeschool Windesheim and is now part of our Supply Chain Management team. As an Information Analyst Roy is at the forefront of translating business requirements into IT solutions and he works closely together with the DevOps team to ensure that daily operations are successfully supported by the software. Along with the Product Owner, Roy identifies opportunities for improvements and designs them in detail. Part of his daily job is also helping the team with testing the completed components. When starting his study at Hogeschool Windesheim the idea was to end up working in electrical engineering. However, the specific electronics study wasn't what Roy wanted. Within the IT study he chose Embedded Systems & Automation (ESA). It appeared this wasn’t the right direction and Roy switched to Business & IT Management (BIM). This was where he found his passion: Using his analytical skills. Hogeschool Windesheim and the #wehkamptechhub are having a really good cooperation. During his ESA-study Roy and his fellow students got an assignment to realize an order-pick robot made from Lego and Arduinos. The group got a guided tour in the #wehkamp warehouse to see how such a robot works in the (real) order picking process. A bit later in time (during his BIM-study) Roy got the opportunity to work on a practical project at wehkamp again. This time it was all about building a supplier portal. When finishing this project it was time to start looking for a place to finish his graduation internship. Roy applied at wehkamp, as he wanted to be in a bigger company where you have the opportunity to learn a lot in various workfields. Presenting the outcome of the supplier portal project Roy already met a couple of his (nowadays) colleagues. They started talking about his graduation project and they really gave him the confidence the assignment wehkamp had in mind and Roy would be a great match. And that turned out to be completely true… During his internship Roy was a part of the Supply Chain Management team and working with them was very nice. According to Roy: ‘I learned a lot as WRG (Wehkamp Retail Group) is offering a flexible and informal work environment. You can ask any questions you have and it’s ok to make mistakes (as long as you learn something from it). Linda Pol and Gino de Groot helped me in a great way and were very enthusiastic about the progress of my assignment. Thanks guys!’ 1 + 1 = ??! Great match + extra hands in the team needed. Roy became a wehkamp techie. Roy's ambition is to extend his analytical skills in practice and become of great value for the wehkamp organization. And we can only support such big plans! It’s great having you on board Roy!
