Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor:
When I began 2024, I was focused on cybersecurity implementation. I'm ending it by shaping the policies that will govern our digital future. This evolution taught me something profound: technical expertise isn't just about securing systems—it's about protecting human rights in our increasingly digital world.
This year showed the power of combining technical knowledge with policy vision:
? Completed groundbreaking research on spyware governance in Africa as top fellow at Resilience Technologies, examining how surveillance technology impacts civil liberties
? Launched The Nexter Project, empowering children from underserved communities with ICT and cybersecurity skills
? Selected for School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG) Class of 2025
? Mentored the next generation of women in cybersecurity through CyberGirls
? Led cybersecurity awareness initiatives reaching hundreds across schools and organizations
Three moments that captured this journey:
"The Power of Youth Digital Education"
On bringing digital knowledge to underserved communities: "We're not just teaching skills; we're nurturing dreams and building the next generation of security-conscious innovators, creators, and leaders."

"Spyware Governance Research"
On the intersection of technology and human rights: "Although spyware is often marketed for legitimate purposes like national security and law enforcement, its deployment has raised concerns, as it is frequently used in ways that undermine democratic governance and violate human rights."

"SPPG Admission"
On bridging technical expertise with policy: "This opportunity marks a significant milestone in my journey to contribute meaningfully to shaping impactful digital policies and governance frameworks that drive sustainable change."

Looking ahead to 2025: At SPPG, I'll be working to bridge the gap between cybersecurity implementation and governance. The Nexter Project will expand into AI, Robotics, and VR/AR, continuing our mission of digital empowerment for underserved youth.
Our digital future needs leaders who understand both the technical and human dimensions of technology. That's the space I'm committed to occupying—where technical expertise meets policy, where security meets human rights, and where individual knowledge transforms into collective impact.
