CEO: Why are so many of our employees with ADHD quitting lately? The workplace environment: Fancy jargon, confusing policies and expectations. No understanding of how ADHD affects their work. Zero accommodation of their immediate needs. Crisp aesthetic offers nothing for neurodivergence. No interest to be mindful of emotional experiences. No understanding of auditory processing struggles. Stating neurotypical norms, not viable alternatives. No encouragement to utilize HR to resolve conflict. Vague instructions for projects given last minute. No examples of psychological safety present here. Questionable info about ‘work culture’ up everywhere. Management meets for discipline purposes only. #adhd

I work at a company celebrated as a leader in neuroinclusion, yet I still have to explain tandem learning, body doubling benefits, and that "boring or unchallenged" work takes longer and fatigue me more, as almost everything provides a better dopamine hit. Also listened to a manager describe his strengths that others don't have, and confirmed with another ADHD employee that she, like me, has precisely the same strengths. #askclarifyingquestions
